Ages 10-17 are eligible for the youth choir.  Talk to Sis Pam about joining. 

Practices are usually on a Sunday afternoon around 4:30 before evening services.

**YOUTH CHOIR GUIDELINES**

When joining the youth choir, give it serious thought. It is great for you to have a desire to sing for the Lord, but it is very important that you take your singing for him seriously, and not lightlyJ . Think of singing in this youth choir as a music ministry.  We all need to be in complete unity and be a team for Jesus!  Everyone that sings in the youth choir should have an active, personal relationship with JesusV , having asked him into thier heart.  To be able to sing with the youth choir, you should be in regular attendance in Sunday School classesC, and be within the age range of 9 to 18 years old J .  Be ready to prayV before our practices and before we sing any specials, which will require you to get to church and practices 5-10 minutes early.  This is very important.  We will always ask the Lord for His guidance and His will in this choir.  Feel free to share prayer requests if you want, during this timeV .   It is also very important for you to be on time for practices and be ready to sing when practice time begins.   No being silly and goofing off when it is time to begin practiceD , PLEASE!  You must attend all practices unless you have a very good reason.   Being committed and dedicated to something is an important lesson to learn during this time J in your lives.  The practice days will be on Sundays around 4:30.   Please talk this over with your parent's to be sure that they will be able to get you to the late afternoon practices.  Let's have funC !!  It's great fun to have a youth choir, so let us all get along together and be a team.  Please, no fussing, no jealousy, and no poutingD .  Let's all work together to have a great time. C  When practicing and performing a song, YOU MUST SING OUT and lift your voices.  If you barley sing, it makes for a weak sounding group and you will not have much of an impact in your songs.  Please, open your mouths and SING OUT.  We all know how much yelling goes on at games and pep rally's, how much more should we LIFT OUR VOICES FOR JESUS?Let's put our every effort into being the best that we can be, to make our Pastor and our parents proud of us J  but most of all, let's make the Lord smile down on us and hear O us singing praises and worshipping Him!  You will be the apple of God?s eyeN, he will look on his kids with pure pleasure! We want to be pleasing to the Lord in everything we do. J
