WORD OF LIFE WOMEN’S MINISTRIES

The Word of Life Independent Church Women's Ministry should be involved in many areas to help the congregation and the outside the church as well.   These ministries will  include a lot of various areas of service and work to include cooked meals, hospital visits, encouraging telephone calls, home visits for the sick and shut-in’s, outreach to others, financial contributions & fundraising, prayer for those in need, encouraging & uplifting one another within our group.

The most important thing is to do all according to the Word of God.  He gives us the guidelines we need to be examples to a dying and lost world and also show love and compassion to one another, as Jesus would.   We can be a blessing to each other and to so many who will be touched by this ministry.  If we keep our eyes on Jesus, we can do all things through Him and by Him.

Let us give our selves to the service of God and do something that would shine His light onto others.  If we do all in the name of Jesus, it can only bring Him glory to His name. All women whether or not they’re on a committee, or hold a position should  feel included in this ministry, because it takes everyone working together to accomplish anything.  Many hands make light work.  Please support the work of each committee by volunteering, helping or doing whatever is needed.  Working together in unity as one will bring our ladies together, give us a purpose and stir the gifts that God has placed within us all.  God is going to bless this ministry.  Please be in prayer for the Lord to stir us and use us.   Scriptures defining are purpose are important to us, because we base our lives on the Word of God.   Please take the time to read the scriptures and let them sink into your spirit.  Ask God to bless this ministry as we pray and seek Him to lead and guide us.

WORD OF LIFE WOMENS MINISTRIES SCRIPTURES FOR OUR PURPOSE

Matthew 5:16  Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Colossians 3:23   And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;

1Timothy 6:17-18  Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not high minded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;   That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate;

Philemon 2:15-16 That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;   Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.

1Peter 4:11  If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

James 1:27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

Galatians 6:6-7  Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things. And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

Isaiah 61:2   To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;

Mat 5:4 Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.
