Pastor Mike Bearden, Sr. and Sister Martha Bearden  Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain. Philippians 2:16        Pastor Mike and First Lady Martha Bearden   Word of Life Independent Church is a non-profit organization founded by Mike Bearden Sr. in 1994.  The goal and purpose of this ministry is to reach as many hurting and lost people as possible with the gospel of Christ and the  truth of God's word.  We currently have a yearly Tent Ministry, Nursing Home Ministry, and currently support a Street Ministry.  We are a full gospel church, of pentecostal persuasion. We believe that by living a life dedicated to Christ, one can become free from the bondage of sin and all manner of oppression.  We believe God can deliver anyone who is willing from the bondage of drugs, alcohol, pornography--anything.  We belive that God can heal diseased bodies and mend broken hearts and broken relationships.  Our congregation is 'living proof' of this statement----as MANY have been saved, delivered  and set free! We believe that the Bible the true Word of God and cannot be changed or re-written.  If you are looking for a church where TRUTH is preached and not 'Candy-coated', then come and visit with us!  Our Pastor is a wonderful shephard that sincerely cares and watches over his flock in the love of Christ.  He preaches "Hell-hot, Sin-Black, and Eternity-long" with a boldness inspired by the Spirit of God.
